We first met Bray Ray in Spain while making the rounds with Peter Lenz and the BMS USA Factory Racing team. This is an update from his father on what Brad 'Stuntboy' Ray did in 2007 and what his plans are in the near future. You can visit Brad's website here: www.brad-ray.co.uk

Brad had a really good year in 2007 retaining his British and SEMRC 4.2 and production class championships on the minimoto. He also started a full year on the Metrakit MiniGP 50 and soon shows he is the one to beat with 24 wins 3 seconds and 3 thirds through the year also setting 6 lap records on his way to take the 50cc championship. Brad also took on a new challenge mid-season on a Conti 50cc big wheel and takes to it straight away setting pole on the first day he rode the bike and ends with 2 wins and a DNF (crashes in first race while leading).

Brad gets faster and faster on the Conti and is soon the one to beat and ends season 5th in championship from half a years racing he also collects rider of the year for his efforts on the new bike.

In December Brad was invited to compete at the Metrakit World Festival at Valencia, Spain. This was the first time for Brad racing the 70cc bike, also first time on a full sized track. Brad quallified in 20th and finished a very creditable 6th out of 106 competitors.

2008 has started of well with Brad winning the first round of the British MiniGP 70 championship and also breaking Danny Webbs lap record and 4 wins on the production pocketbike. This year he is not racing the smaller 4.2 pocketbike. He is also competing in a new championship the National Pocketbike Series (NPS) where he can ride his Metrakit 70, Conti 50 (Open 50 class) and production minimoto. He has so far won all 6 races on the Metrakit 50, and his Conti (though he seized an engine in 1 race) and 4 wins 1 second and 1 third on the production pocketbike.

We hope that Brad will also be able to compete in a few of the Spanish championship rounds this year. He is looking forward to it if we can do it.
